Elodia “Lupe” Soto Del Real passed away peacefully in the care of her loving daughter in Sunnyvale, CA on September 1st, 2026 at age 88. Elodia was born on December 8th, 1937 in Brawley, CA.

She moved to Mountain View, CA in 1957 and worked in agriculture across the Santa Clara Valley in her youth and later at Dinah’s Shack Restaurant in Palo Alto. She married Ruben Del Real in 1958 and moved into her Mountain View home in October 1962, where she lived until her death. She was a homemaker for the following decades and later worked at Mervyn’s in Mountain View for 16 years.

Easy-going, kind, loving, and never one to say a bad word about anyone, she loved bowling, cooking, music of all genres, soap operas, game shows, scratchers, very hot weather and her treasured 1966 Plymouth VIP and 1986 Pontiac Fiero.

A California native, she didn’t travel often — she loved the state so much that she never found a reason to leave.

She is survived by her three children, Anna Lechuga, Ruben Del Real, Jr. and Thomas Del Real, and her two grandchildren, Kristina Lechuga and Kristian Lechuga of Sunnyvale.
