"Our People Person" -- Loving husband to Darnelle, loving dad to Lorraine, John and Matt. Graduated U.O.P., Stockton. Attended law school. Resided in Los Gatos for 30 years and the past eight years in the Gilroy foothills.

Owned Portola Valley Shell in Ladera for 35 years and loved both the community and people. Co-owned Santa Cruz Harbor Marine for several years. Driver for Gilroy Unified School District for the past five years.

Favorite activities included Lake Tahoe boating, cars, motorcycles, travel, all sport events, concerts, amateur theatre acting, gardening and growing his vineyard "Jade West Vineyard," and being a board member of the community Los Ranchos de Uvas Water company. Surrounded by his family, he lost a most courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Hampton lived life to the fullest! He loved connecting with a smiling, laughing and positive outlook wherever he went! We were so lucky to have him! In his memory, live your life full throttle as he did his!
