Jane Geiser, 88, a longtime resident of Palo Alto, died July 24, 2012, in Edina, Minn. She had been a resident at Heritage of Edina Senior Living Community for three years.
Born Mary Jane Springman on March 31, 1924, in Madison, Wis., she married Harold Baumbach and moved to the Bay Area in 1950. They divorced in 1964. She raised two sons and worked at Moffett Field and Syntex USA in Palo Alto.
At Syntex, she met and married Leonard Geiser. They retired in 1988 and moved to Stevenson House in Palo Alto, where they became active volunteers in the community. Jane, a talented musician, played violin in the Peninsula Symphony.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Baumbach of Edina, Minn., and Bruce Baumbach of Kernersville, N.C.; and grandson, Alan Baumbach.
No memorial service is planned. Donations may be made in her memory to Stevenson House, 455 East Charleston Road, Palo Alto, CA 94306.
