John Paul June

John Paul June, 56, a former resident of Palo Alto, died unexpectedly while on a business trip to Monterey Sept. 7, 2010. He had been residing in Austin, Texas. He was an active businessman in Carmel, Calif. for 30 years as the owner of John Paul Painting. He was loved and respected by all for his exceptional work and his endearing personality and community generosity, loved ones said. He was a talented musician recognizable for his left-handed bass-guitar playing. He was the bass player for "Alligator and the Bayou Boogie Band" for 17 years as well as being an accomplished song writer and guitar player.

He will be remembered for his kind and loving nature, his loyalty and love and his exceptional talent as a musician.

AHe is survived by his daughter, Patricia Paul of Carmel, Calif.; his brother, Michael Paul of Santa Cruz, Calif., his ex-wife Minnie Marshall of Eugene, Ore.; his girlfriend, Julie Thomte of Austin, Texas; and many friends.
