Lorraine Herrick, fondly known as Lee, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, the only child of Edith and Alick Erickson.
Lee grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where she enjoyed ice fishing in the winter, lake fishing in the summer and hunting in the fall. Lee and her husband, Robert, were childhood friends and high school sweethearts. After high school and Bob’s enlistment in the Army, Lee worked as an executive secretary for the president of 3M company for many years. When Lee and Bob moved to California in 1949, Lee was able to transfer to the west coast branch of 3M and continued her career until she retired to become a full-time mother to her four children.
Lee was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the La Boutique des Huit Chapeaux et Quarante Femmes, a.k.a. Eight and Forty. She was actively involved with Covenant Presbyterian Church throughout her life. In her later years, she was a resident at The Terraces of Los Altos, where she enjoyed gardening, visiting with other residents and serving as president of the resident’s council.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her eldest daughter Sandra. She is survived by her son, Calvin, daughters, Diana and MaryAnne, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
