Marilyn “Marny” Trounson, 77, Menlo Park resident, born in San Francisco, was the first American to dance as a soloist for the Royal Ballet in London. She moved to Palo Alto in 1979 and taught ballet for the next 45 years, including at Western Ballet, Zohar, and Menlo Park Academy of Dance. Her bright smile, deeply empathetic nature and care for the Earth and all her creatures continues to touch our hearts. She passed on November 10th, 2024.
