Richard "Bick" Goss
Feb. 10, 1038-Aug. 3, 2013
New York, New York

Richard "Bick" Goss died on Aug. 3 of complications from Parkinson's disease while vacationing in Houston, Texas. He grew up in San Carlos and after graduating from San Jose State University, moved to New York where he pursued his career in dance. He became a noted New York City-based theater director and choreographer, former Bob Fosse dancer and founder of the non-profit musical theater development organization, Musical Mondays Theater Lab. Bick would come to the bay area occasionally to work on local productions in San Francisco, Mountain View and San Jose. He considered his directing and choreography work in the 1992 musical review, "COLE" to be the greatest triumph in his directing career. The show earned Bick the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for direction and choreography of this San Jose Repertory production. He was the son of Louis H. Goss and Ruth Goss. Bick is survived by his brothers, Blain and Dean Goss, his cousin LaRue LaRussa, as well as six nieces and nephews. There is no memorial date at this time.
