Lasting Memories

Alice Arntsen
Oct. 1, 1921-April 13, 2017
Woodside, California

Alice graduated with a degree in Home-Ec from the University of Minnesota in 1943. After working with at-risk youth as a social worker, she married "Buzz" Arntsen, who was a captain with United Airlines. They briefly lived in Chicago, before moving to Denver for 15 years and finally settling in Woodside, California, in 1961.

During 54 years of marriage, Alice and Buzz were devoted to each other, raising their family, traveling, working as a teacher’s aide in an impoverished school, and serving their church. Alice was known for her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, love and service to others, hospitality, contagious smile, and keen interest in politics.

They had a heart for worldwide missions, visited many missionaries, and hosted them.

Alice remained in her home with her daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and his family, and her memory is cherished by her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
