Barbara Fox Felix
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Barbara was born in Caro, Michigan. She studied at the University of Michigan, where she met and married Charles Reis Felix (1923-2017), her life's soulmate. They then moved to California, where Barbara became a kindergarten teacher at several schools including Oak Knoll in Menlo Park.
For 66 years of their 70 years of married life, Barbara and Charles lived in the redwoods on Skyline.
After retirement she enjoyed her horses at the Williams Ranch in La Honda, correspondence with family and friends around the world and the success of Charles' writing career.

"I know what it is to live entirely for and with what I love best on earth. I hold myself supremely blessed -- blessed beyond what language can express: because I am my husband's life as fully as he is mine." - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
Mrs. Felix was my beloved kindergarten teacher at Fremont School. I’ll never forget her! I also remember becoming friends with her son Matt. Mrs F took really good care of me as a young and fragile 5 year old, and I think of her very very fondly. Wonderful kindergarten teachers have a special place in the goodness of the world.
I met Barbara in 1969 when we kept our horses in the same barn. We became instant friends and riding buddies. She was so kind and generous with her knowledge and kindness. She was a big influence on our whole family for years and especially our son. I'm so sorry for your loss, Mathew and Mona too. I know how special your mother was for you both.
