Christopher Dan Bradley, passed away on January 16th at the age of 70 surrounded by love. Born and raised in Palo Alto, Ca., son of Daniel and Katherine Bradley, Chris graduated from Palo Alto High and attended Stanford University. Chris fell in love with tennis at an early age and went on to teach the game to others for over 50 years, 35 of which he was Tennis Director at Alpine Hills Tennis & Swimming Club in Portola Valley, Ca. Coach Chris led his teams to 17 Northern California USTA Junior League team championships and 11 state USTA Junior League team championships. For 28 consecutive years, his teams were Mid- peninsula Junior Interclub champions. The recipient of honors over the years he was USPTA NorCal Pro of the Year in 1982 and 1986, and USPTA NorCa Coach of the Year in 1994. In 2013, Chris won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the U.S. Professional Tennis Association. Chris was a loving husband, father, grandpa and brother. He was passionate about his family and tennis, and a highly respected member of the California tennis community for decades. He is survived by his wife Catherine Frosi Bradley, his son Mathew Bradley, his daughter Celinda Bradley and her three children Ethan, William and Savannah Sue, his brother Pete Bradley and wife Mari, his brother Richard Bradley, wife Joaquina and daughter Maria, his sister Kit Bliss Jones and husband Randy, his nephew Christopher Bradley and niece Marisa Fuller, and his brother-in-law William Behnke. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.
