Lasting Memories
Dennis Anderson
Dec. 30, 1957-Sept. 20, 2013
Mountain View, California
Dennis (55) died at home following a two year struggle with cancer. He grew up in Palo Alto and worked for many years in retail motorcycle sales and as a promoter of Supermoto racing.
Dennis liked to go fast and was enthusiastic about extreme sports such as flat track motorcycle racing and jet skiing in ocean waters. He loved photography, bicycling, ice hockey, the beach and telling stories, complete with all the sound effects. He was an optimistic "glass half-full" person, always willing to help his friends and family. He made everyone feel special and made them laugh with his favorite expressions like, "BLAM!"
He is survived by his wife Sue; his parents Maggie and Andy; twin brother Neil; brother Reed; sister Beth; nephews Blake, Alex and Phillip; nieces Jovanne, Stephanie and Erica and his beloved dog Domino.
Thank you to his team at Valley Medical Center, the Cancer Support Group and VITAS Hospice.
A celebration of Dennis' life will be in mid-October.
This is probably a story he would tell. The Two of us were sitting in his folks living room watching Wide World of sports. The commercial comes on, and Dennis opens the front door says watch this.he sets up and blows off a small bottle rocket.we think not much of it and go inside to watch tv. A few minuets later we hear sirens outside. we open the door and the house across the street two doors down has a five foot burning round hole. The owner is outside talking to an officer and he is pointing at us. lol it did not go well. I dont remember how long he was grounded but it was harsh. Dennis was a good guy. Sorry to hear you gone my friend.
I'm so sorry to hear Dennis lost his battle. We never had the chance to meet in person but chatted on the phone a few times and on twitter. Every time we talked all he could talk about was his Queen Bee.... REST IN PEACE friend.
Dennis was a friend and coworker in the early to mid 90's. I'm sad I missed this news somehow. RIP Dennis.
You shall be missed.BLAM!
