Donald Dean Wood went peacefully to his heavenly home to be with his Savior on April 28, 2016. He was 76 and is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Phyllis, and their 4 children Steve (Darlene) Wood of San Jose, Heidi (Travis) Kalebaugh of Bend OR, Amy (Lance) Kasari of Bend OR, and Andy (Julie) Wood of Menlo Park.

Don thoroughly enjoyed time spent with his 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Don is well known for prioritizing his family and faith in everything he did.

Don was born in Missouri, lived in Oregon and California and had resided in Menlo Park CA for the last 36 years. He graduated from San Jose State with a degree in business and earned an MBA from Stanford.

Professionally, he worked for Hewlett Packard, Velobind and Inmac, eventually returning to and retiring from Hewlett Packard as a Marketing Manager in 2000.

He was an exemplary lay leader at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, where he served his Lord in many capacities. He also served on the board at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center, Western Seminary, and Free at Last. He will long be remembered for his faith and compassion.
