Nancy Gilbertson, 88, passed away on February 17, 2026, in Palm Beach, FL, with her family at her side. Born on January 7, 1938, in Mount Kisco, N.Y., Nancy lived a life defined by intelligence and steadfast devotion to those she loved. In 1960, she met Gordon on Cape Cod—a meeting that began a 66-year marriage marked by deep love, loyalty, laughter, adventure, and true partnership.

Nancy devoted her early years to raising her family in Wayland, Massachusetts, and Mt. Vernon, New Hampshire, creating a home filled with warmth, high standards, and unwavering support. In her later years, she made her home in Redwood City, CA, where she built a respected career in real estate. As a trusted Realtor serving members of the Visa and San Francisco 49ers communities, she was known for her integrity and genuine care for the people she served. She later brought her sharp mind and disciplined work ethic to research at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon Gilbertson; her children and their spouses, Karen “Gigi” (Dennis) Tyrrell, Jane (Louis-Philippe) Lalonde, and Gordon Jr. (Akanksha) Gilbertson; her grandchildren, Denni (Ashley) Tyrrell, Brandon (Frannie) Tyrrell, Hannah Lalonde, Charles Lalonde, and Gigi Gilbertson; and her great-grandchildren, Auley Tyrrell, Josephine Tyrrell, Parker Tyrrell, and Paisley Tyrrell.

Her legacy is one of generosity, resilience, patriotism, and enduring love of family. She leaves behind generations shaped by her strength, example, and unwavering devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
