Phyllis L. Reed, 89, of Mountain View, California passed away on October 7, 2017. Funeral Services will be held on October 13, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church of Los Altos, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos. Spangler Mortuary of Los Altos is handling the funeral arrangements. Phyllis was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Lester and Hilda Little, also of Lynn. After graduating from English High School, Phyllis went on to earn her Bachelor's and Masters Degrees from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Phyllis met her late husband, William H. Reed, of Wareham, Massachusetts, while studying at Tufts. They had a long and loving marriage to one another. Phyllis was devoted in every way to her husband and family. Phyllis' three children and their spouses, Leslie and Dennis, Valerie and Beth, and Joanne and Mark, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. She is preceded in death by her husband, William, as well as her brothers, Gordon and Richard, and niece, Bonnie Simes. In lieu of flowers, Phyllis' family suggest that memorial donations in Phyllis' name be given to the Community Services Agency of Mountain View, California, to Christ Episcopal Church of Los Altos, or to other social service charities that would honor the memory of Phyllis Reed.
