Babbette was a gracious and thoughtful member of a women's circle that met monthly in Palo Alto for nearly 20 years. She shared ideas from books and articles she had read, life lessons from raising her children, and interesting anecdotes from her bicycle rides around town. In standing vigil at the weekly Women in Black , she stood own silent protest against wars in Central America and the Mideast. She was a role model for peace and social justice and an inspiration to many others.
