I worked with Carolyn at the Jenny Lake Store and Lodge; she was such wonderful friend. I have never known anyone as smart and talented as she was. She would sketch the Tetons, write songs for the guests and everyone loved her. We worked as cabin maids every summer for 3 years. How lucky I was to know her.

I worked at the Stanford Medical Center sitting between Dr. Caan and Dr. Schwartz. One Saturday afternoon I went to meet Carolyn Schwartz and bought two of her sketches. My first art purchase. I still have them and they are still quietly beautiful, as was she.

Carolyn and Herb were my neighbors for many years in Palo Alto. I am so sorry for Herb and family that Carolyn left so soon. God bless. Cathy Latterell
