I was shocked to learn of Eve's death. We first met at the McGovern headquarters in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Eve, as I, was an ardent supporter and we spent many hours campaigning - with our kids in tow. When I moved to CA. in '82, Eve was the first person I looked up. We met in her law office in San Jose and she encouraged me to attend law school, which I did. I've always considered Eve to a kindred spirit - idealistic and always championing "lost causes" . I'll miss Eve, her courageous and loving spirit and her kindness.
I knew Eve first through her husband Arnie. They were a wonderful couple and Eve was such a loving person, who adored her family and gave so much to the community through her work and volunteer work. She was always full of such great energy and will be truly missed.
I just learned today that Eve passed.. I was so sorry to hear that. Eve and I served together on the Palo Alto Human Relations Commission and we connected then and continued to remain close even though we did not see each other often. She was a dedicated caring person who touched my heart. Blessings to all the family.
I worked with Eve for a time when we were both at 4Cs (she with the Fatherhood Collaborative). She always spoke with such love of her family and showed such commitment to her advocacy for local families. My condolences.
