I will never forget the years I worked with John at GTE and cherish the fact I called him 'friend' after that. He was one of the most genuine persons I have ever known. Never a bad word about anyone, always smiling and always a positive outlook on life. His calm demeanor could soothe over just about any tense situation. Sincere condolences to John's family. He will be missed.
I took tennis lessons from John when I was a teenager. He was one of the nicest adults I ever met--friendly and gentle, without a trace of condescension. He knew my father (Sam Webster, 1918-3013) and my mother (Kim, 1921-2015) well.I also remember playing tennis with his son Dave.
