It is hard to add anything to what has been said here and at the Memorial Service. All of the little touches, and especially the words spoken, were just outstanding. What is the old saying? "You can tell about a person by the quality of his friends." I will never forget John, or John's friends. I am grateful that I was a small part of John's life.

John was a wonderful friend. He was my walking buddy and someone I could count on to go listen to music, watch a ballgame, or have a drink with. His light will always shine in my memory.

I have so many wonderful memories of hiking with John and enjoying our conversations. On our last hike he was so optimistic about the future and actively working on his health. I am surprised and greatly saddened by this loss. John was a beautiful light in the world and his presence will be greatly missed.

I have fond memories of meeting John for the first time in Rochester,NY. His quick, and quirky, wit will be treasured.
