I have just recently retired and am able to spend more time doing genealogy research. I am a descendent of Levi Chapman. I was surprised and delighted to find a copy of "New England Moves West" tucked into one of my files. I think that my uncle Carl Heintze must have passed it on to me. I am so sorry to have missed the opportunity to visit with Mr. Olmstead. His book is so thoroughly researched and well written. I wonder if there is anyone else in your family that has "taken up the torch" and shares an interest in genealogy. Please feel free to contact me by email.
Ron will always be a brother-in-law to me even though he's my brother-in-law's brother. That is how fond I will always be of Ron. When I would see Ron at family holidays and gatherings, he made me feel like immediate family and special. He was always: soft spoken, kind, funny, upbeat (No matter what life was throwing at him), a great conversationalist and avid listener. He gave great hugs too! My only regret was not having more time with Ron. I will miss Ron and his wonderful smile. You will always be loved! Love, Monica (Mo)
