Ruth was such a gift to us all. We were colleagues at San Jose U,Canada Community College & John F Kennedy U. She was a woman of great integrity, abundant energy, creativity, courage to speak up on the side of right, even if it was not popular. I will miss her. She will be missed. What a light!

Ruth had such enthusiasm & a real interest in other people and in their well-being. I remember her consideration for others most, even in small ways that mattered. But she was almost bigger than life, even in her capacity to be friendly and welcoming of everyone. Her passing is a loss to the community. That there will be more women like Ruth in Palo Alto, to follow her lead.
