Rose E. Talmage
Aug. 23, 1919-Sept. 3, 2015
Mountain View, California
From Douglas Wardian

I knew Rose was not doing well, but did not realize she had passed. My mother knew her well and had nothing but the highest regard and admiration for her. Even after Mom was gone, Rosie maintained contact even with me.

Rosie, Sometimes in life one is fortunate enough to meet someone who is there for them unconditionally. And, in turn, you are there for them unconditionally. When all is going well, they share in your joy and celebrate your good fortune. When things are not going well, they listen, advise, encourage, and help you move forward. They believe in you even when you are doubting yourself. They give you strength and hope when you are feeling weak and uncertain. They are able to see a lighter side even when you can not imagine a lighter side. And, they bring you always needed humor and make you laugh. Rosie, for me, you were one of those special someone's who I was so very fortunate to have in my life! I will miss our check-ins and your after 10:00 p.m. phone calls; I will miss you!! Thank you for being there for me, along with Tom, for so many years. With so much love and appreciation, Dave

Those we love don?t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

From Ofelia Smith

Grandma Rose, you held my husband tiny hands as a baby, loved him throughout his life, and made such a difference in his life. You loved me as well. The tears you see are tears of joy. We are gratified towards the heavens that we were blessed to have you in our lives and that all the memories of yesterday are gifts for today and tomorrow. We know that you are smiling down from heaven and we can feel your love. We hear you say "I love you" and this is the biggest gift of all. In your honor, we shared some jokes today. To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die... Until we meet again...
